This invention relates to a process for preparation of inhibition system for double base (DB) propell ants comprising the steps of: preparation of an inhibition composition by mixing dried polyether polyol with a curative preferably aliphatic dusocyanate followed by the stirring the said mixture with a filler such as melamine followed by further stirring by addition of a catalyst like dibutyl tin diiaurate, preparing a formulation for chemical coating of the DB propellantis by reacting a mixture of triethanol amine and hexamethylene dusocyanate with dichloromethane solvent, followed by casting the inhibitor composition over the said coated DB propellents.
