The method involves staggering concrete tiles (20) on a mobile base. A carrier is provided with a transport device for transporting a row of the tiles. An oriented landscape is located in another row of the tiles. The tiles are placed on the carrier in a transport direction by a positioning device. The tiles are discharged in a conveying direction by a discharge device. A sand bed is placed on work places of the base. The carrier is located in an offset position of the rows of tiles in the transport direction. The tiles are processed along the conveying direction of an extending portion. An independent claim is also included for a tile processing device.
