HANDHELD PORTABLE DEVICE FOR AUTHENTICATION OF PASSPORTS AND ID DOCUMENTS, BIOMETRIC DATA READING AND IDENTIFICATION OF DOCUMENT HOLDERS

Invention herewith described refers to a portable device that, according to the invention enables authentication and verification of passports, visas, ID cards, including documents with built-in contactless or contact chip, reads biometric data, in particular: fingerprint, image of the passport holder, i.e. carries out authentication and retinal iris recognition and then, based on in such a way collected data, completes recognition of the persons holding such documents, i.e. persons who have no documents. This device by taking fingerprint data on the spot, taking a digital image of persons without documents and scanning the retinal area - and the iris of the eye and comparing the collected data with the data from the database of persons who have passport and personal identification documents issued, and thereupon, forwards the taken data to the main computer takes over information which carries the authentication data from the main computer displayed at the monitor 5 of the optical pointer of the handheld portable device, thus the operator, with the optical pointer 5, and the functional keyboard of the control board 3, communicates with the main computer either by a wire connection or a wireless one.
