A method for removal of intermediate and heavy components of engine oil from bottomhole regions of wells and borehole pore environment of a reservoir bed during operation of an underground gas storage, which includes use of a compressor station, production wells for pumping an inert gas and replacement of the buffer gas. The process of pumping inert gas is performed by pumping in the reservoir bed, inert gas - carbon dioxide, and then - inert gas selected as the main gas for replacement of buffer gas. Said injection is carried out at a significant increase of volume and rate of gas injection, with exclusion of gas dispersion and selection of conditioned natural gas. As a main inert gas for replacement of part of buffer gas nitrogen is used or other gas that does not contain reactive components.
