A system and a method for calculating a growth/evolution mode of an agent for a proactive user interface in a terminal (100) are disclosed. The system includes a server (112) for storing data corresponding to elements of an agent according to versions and growth steps and providing the terminal (100) with element data of a corresponding agent when the terminal makes a request for the data of the agent, and the terminal for making a request for the data of the agent, which are necessary for calculating the growth/evolution mode of the agent, to the server (112), and receiving the data of the agent from the server, thereby calculating the growth/evolution mode of the agent.
