The invention relates to a method of improving the ranking of a source Internet site by a generalist search engine, comprising the following steps: - analysis (10) of the content of the source Internet site so as to extract key words therefrom, - selection (12) of a set of relevant key words from among the key words extracted, - generation (16) of a home page of search indices listing the key words selected, each key word of the page forming a hypertext link to a page of result indices which is associated with the key word, each page of result indices comprising a list of hypertext links to relevant contents of the source Internet site with respect to the key words, - integration (22) of the home page of search indices into the source Internet site.
