Use of ATP in the preparation of a medicament for treating, alleviating and/or enhancing survival of pre-terminal cancer patients

The present invention relates to the use of ATP for the preparation of a medicament, in particular in the form of intravenous infusions, for treating, alleviating and/or enhancing survival of pre-terminal cancer patients. In the investigated population of pre-terminal cancer patients, ATP infusions, at the dose and schedule studied, had a favorable effect on triceps skin fold thickness and survival, especially in weight-stable patients and patients with lung cancer.
