CALIBRATION METHOD FOR NON-IDEAL TRANSCEIVER DETERMINING NON-IDEAL CHARACTERISTIC OF A TRANSMITTER AND A RECEIVER IN A SIGNAL OF THE TRANSCEIVER

PURPOSE: A calibration method for non-ideal transceiver is provided to calibrate non-ideality of the transceiver without an additional analog circuit and obtain the nonlinearity of the DC-offset, the quadrature imbalance, and the carrier feedthrough.;CONSTITUTION: A transceiver(30) includes a first up conversion transmitter and a first down conversion receiver(33). A signal including the training symbol as a part of the data package to be transmitted is generated. The signal is up-converted to a first signal of a first transmitter with a first frequency. The first signal is transmitted from the first transmitter to the first receiver. The signal is down-converted to the second signal of the first receiver with the second frequency. To determine a non-ideal characteristic, at least one component of the detected training symbols is separated on a frequency domain.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
