REMEDIATION TECHNIQUE TO REMOVE HEAVY METALS FROM SOIL USING SOIL WASHING COMBINED WITH ELECTROKINETICS

PURPOSE: A purification method for heavy metal contaminated soil using washing techniques and purification techniques is provided to minimize the waste in contaminated soil treatment by removing heavy metal materials in the soil. CONSTITUTION: A purification method for heavy metal contaminated soil using washing techniques and purification techniques includes the following steps of: removing heavy metals while changing a shape of the heavy metals by washing the contaminated soil with an aqueous solution or water; separating the processed soil to fine soil which is not purified and sandy soil; put the unpurified separated fine soil to a container in a cathode chamber and an anode chamber; supplying the liquid containing an electrolyte to the cathode chamber and the anode chamber; adding strong acid, strong base or organic acid and, a surfactant in the liquid; and transferring the electrolyte through the fine soil.
