PURPOSE: A bamboo mat structure for surface layer reinforcement of soft ground and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent destruction of the soft ground resulting from heaving phenomenon by controlling uplift and deformation of the soft ground. CONSTITUTION: A surface layer reinforcement construction method in soft ground using a bamboo mat structure is as follows. A geotextile(20) is spread out on a soft ground(50). A bamboo of the bamboo mat structure is spread out on the soft ground along length. A cover material is spread out in a stepped type unit installation form by paving equipment(30) so that the geotextile and the bamboo mat structure are fixed by a cover layer(42) and pressure soil. The cover material is spread out in the stepped type unit installation form on the spread unit installation form by the paving equipment. The unit installation form is spread out in the stepped form by the paving equipment with the same method as above. A unit geotextile and a unit bamboo mat structure are coupled.
