PURPOSE: A noble metal coating method of a catalytic converter is provided to improve the checking accuracy of the flow distribution check of the exhaust gas by checking the flow distribution of the exhaust gas of the front end of a catalytic converter by using the reaction of the coated material after coating a catalytic converter with the material reacted by oxygen.;CONSTITUTION: A noble metal coating method of a catalytic converter comprises the steps for coating the front end of a catalytic converter with the material reacted by oxygen(S12), driving an engine for the enough time in the fuel lean condition(S14), driving the engine for the fixed time in the fuel rich condition(S18), bypassing the exhaust gas or stopping the engine(S22), checking the distribution of the material generated by chemically reacting the coated material the front end of the catalytic converter with oxygen(S24), and coating a noble metal at the low concentration in the place where the flow of the exhaust gas is much and coating a noble metal at the high concentration in the place where the flow of the exhaust gas is little(S26).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
