PURPOSE: A surface-modified poly(ethylene glycol) hydrogel microstructure is provided to chemically bond protein on the surface of a hydrogel and to reduce the amount of necessary proteins by bonding proteins on the only surface of the hydrogel without infiltration topenetrating the inside.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a surface-modified hydrogel comprises the following steps of: preparing a poly(ethylene glycol) hydrogel microstructure; and modifying the surface of a hydrogel by reacting the poly(ethylene glycol) hydrogel microstructure with a compound of chemical formula 1: L1-L2-L3. In chemical formula 1, L1 is a functional group capable of creating a covalent bond with poly(ethylene glycol); L2 is an organic group; and L3 is a functional group capable of creating a covalent bond with a protein moiety.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
