SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CREATING EGS UTILIZING OFF-PEAK POWER

PURPOSE: A system and a method for creating an Enhanced Geothermal System using light loading power are provided to create an EGS with less costs, and to improve profitability. CONSTITUTION: A method for creating an EGS using light loading power is as follows. A drilling rig and a hydraulic fracturing pump are prepared. The drilling rig is powered using power which is cheap when light loading. An injection well, a production well, or a single well necessary for creating an EGS is drilled and completed. The hydraulic fracturing pump is powered in the injection well, the production well, or the single well, and an injection flow rate and a total injection rate are gradually increased.
