PURPOSE: A video encoding/decoding apparatus, a deblocking filter and a deblocing filtering method based an intra prediction direction, and a recording medium therefor are provided to remove the edges of vertical, horizontal and diagonal directions by performing deblocking filtering of an intra prediction direction for a deblocking artifact in a diagonal edge. CONSTITUTION: If a sub block is an intra block, an intra prediction direction confirmation unit(395) confirms the intra prediction direction for a sub block. A first pixel belongs to the sub block. Based on the first pixel and the confirmed intra prediction direction, a filtering pixel selection unit(397) selects pixels to be filtered. A filtering unit(399) performs a filtering operation according to the pixel value relation between the intra prediction direction and the selected pixels.
