APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE HEAT INSULATION CAPACITY OF THE LNG STORING TANK FOR LNG(LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS) CARRYING SHIP, CAPABLE OF REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF VAPORIZATION GAS GENERATED FROM THE LNG STORING TANK BY ENHANCING HEAT INSULATION CAPACITY BY CIRCULATING ARGON GAS TO THE INSULATION SPACE OF THE LNG STORING TANK
PURPOSE: Apparatus and method for improving the heat insulation capacity of the LNG storing tank for LNG(liquefied natural gas) carrying ship are provided to reduce the power consumption of a re-liquefaction apparatus by reducing the capacity of the re-liquefaction apparatus by 20% by reducing the amount of vaporization gas of the LNG storing tank by circulating argon gas to the insulation space of the LNG storing tank.;CONSTITUTION: Apparatus and method for improving the heat insulation capacity of the LNG storing tank(1) for LNG(liquefied natural gas) carrying ship comprises an argon gas supply source(10), an argon gas supply line(L1) and an argon gas return line(L2). The argon gas supply source generates or stores argon gas. One end of the argon gas supply line is connected to the argon gas supply source and the other end of the argon gas supply line is connected to heat insulating spaces(4,6) of one side of the LNG storing tank. One end of the argon gas return line is connected to heat insulating spaces of one side of the LNG storage tank and the other end is connected to the argon gas supply source.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
