METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PITAVASTATINE HEMI-CALCIUM SALT USING PITAVASTATINE INTERMEDIATE

PURPOSE: A method for preparing pitavastatin intermediate and a method for manufacturing pitavastatin hemi-calcium salt are provided to selectively obtain (E)-isomer and to efficiently and simply product the pitavastatin hemi-calcium salt.;CONSTITUTION: A compound of chemical formula 6 which is (E)-isomer is selectively prepared by performing wittig reaction of a compound of chemical formula 4 and 5 under base presence. In chemical formula 4, Y is PPh_3^+Br_, P(O)(OEt)_2 or P(O)Ph_2. The base is metal hydride, metal oxide, or metal carbonate. A method or preparing the compound of chemical formula 4 comprises: a step of introducing hydroxyl group of chemical formula 2 with bromine group to obtain a compound of chemical formula 3; and a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 3 with triphenylphosphine, ethyldiphenyl phsphinite or triethyl phosphate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
