PURPOSE: A gel polymer electrolyte, a lithium battery including thereof, a manufacturing method thereof, and a manufacturing method of the lithium battery are provided to control the irreversible reaction of the electrolyte with an irregular complex negative electrode active material. CONSTITUTION: A gel polymer electrolyte contains a first lithium salt, an organic solvent, fluorid, and a polymer formed by polymerizing H2C=C-(OR1)n-OCH=CH2 monomer. In the monomer, R refers to an alkylene group with the carbon number of 2~10, and n refers to 1~1000. The fluorid forms protonic acid or lewis acid by reacting with residual moisture among the organic solvent. The first lithium salt is inactive with the residual moisture. The polymer is produced by the reaction between the protonic acid or the lewis acid with the monomer.
