PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display for increasing contrast ratio and viewing angle by the short protrusion is provided to remove the defect by pressure by forming a short protrusion on an upper display plate.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first and second substrates(110, 210). The liquid crystal layer comprises liquid crystal molecules. The first and second sub pixel electrodes are formed on the first substrate. The other first and the second data voltages are applied in the first and the second sub-pixel electrode. A short protrusion(320) is formed on the second substrate.
