METHOD FOR EXECUTING HASH CHAIN TRAVERSAL FOR EFFICIENT AUTHENTICATION, PARTICULARLY FOR CHANGING A HASH CHAIN MEDIAN VALUE

PURPOSE: A method for executing hash chain traversal for efficient authentication is provided to minimize the use of a hash operation frequency and a memory cell when outputting a hash value through a hash chain operation.;CONSTITUTION: A hash chain is created for an initial input(300), and some median value of the created hash chain is temporarily stored at a memory cell. A hash chain median value stored at the memory cell is changed to be used in a next hash value by using remaining hash operation while outputting a hash value within a maximum hash operation frequency in the direction of the consumption direction of the hash chain. The number of memory cells and the maximum hash operation frequency are determined based on the length of the hash chain.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
