METHOD FOR SIMULATING THE BEHAVIOR OF NUCLIDES IN HLW REPOSITORY SYSTEM USING COMPARTMENTAL APPROACH

PURPOSE: A method for simulating the behavior of radionuclide in HLW repository system using compartmental approach is provided to easily and rapidly and accurately calculate the result compared to an existing numerical value method, thereby increasing a safety and performance evaluation efficiency about HLW repository system. CONSTITUTION: A HLW repository system is divided into a plurality of compartments by using compartmental approach(S210). The behavior of the radionuclide is copied through proper mathematical modeling technique. The movement of HLW radionuclide between the divided compartments is calculated according to the mathematical model(S220). The compartments is corrected in details according to geographical characteristic and outflow scenario of corresponding disposal site(S230). Movement quantity of radionuclide between the compartments is calculated by migration coefficient(S240). The diagram which integrally copies the movement of radionuclide between compartments is calculated(S250).
