PURPOSE: An iterative 3D face pose estimating method using a face normalization vector is provided to quickly estimate the pose of three-dimensional face data through a rotation matrix operation in the forward direction of a face. CONSTITUTION: An NPP(Nose Peak Point) moves to the origin point of a three-dimensional coordinate system. A normal vector of a face normalization triangle plane is defined by a face normalization vector. A rotation matrix for y axis and x axis is obtained. A pose is estimated for x axis and y axis of three-dimensional face data by the rotation matrix. The rotation matrix about z axis is obtained. Using the rotation matrix about the z axis, the pose about the three-dimensional face data is estimated.
