PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing advertisements on dialing in a converged network of a wireless local area network and a legacy telephony network, and an access point used in the system are provided to efficiently supply an advertisement until establishment of a call after dialing by mixing an existing phone network and a local area wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: A service server(50) provides advertisement information to an APs(Access Points)(25A-25C), and a database(55) stores an advertisement file provided to the APs. The service server includes activation schedule information of a corresponding advertisement to an advertisement file to provide the APs with encoded advertisement information. The APs decode the advertisement information to separate schedule information from the advertisement file. The APs store the schedule table and the advertisement file by tabulating the schedule information.
