METHOD FOR MEASURING THE LOCATION SIMILARITY OF SPATIAL OBJECT ON DIGITAL MAPS AND MAP MATCHING USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for measuring the location similarity of a spatial object on digital maps, and a map matching method using the same are provided to match identical objects on different kinds of digital maps by using the location similarity which specifies the relationship of peripheral objects of the spatial object. CONSTITUTION: A reference object is selected on a reference digital map, and a coordinate value of a spatial object is obtained(100). A buffer distanced from the coordinate value at a certain interval is generated in the reference digital map, and the spatial object included in a certain range is extracted. The buffers identical to each other based on the identical coordinate value are generated on a comparison target digital map, and the spatial object included in a certain range is extracted(200). The landmarks which are the plural spatial objects having the identical information are selected primarily as a corresponding object by comparing the intrinsic information of the spatial object extracted from two digital maps(300).
