METHOD OF PLASTIC CLOSURE OF OPERATIVE WOUND WITHIN HEAD OF III MIDDLE METACARPAL BONE IN TRANSPOSITION OF METACARPAL BONE OF INDEX FINGER TO METACARPAL BONE OF THUMB

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to traumatology and orthopaedics and can be used for the closure of an operative wound within the head of the third middle metacarpal bone following the transposition of a distal part of the metacarpal bone of index finger to metacarpal bone of thumb in the patients with posttraumatic finger defects. The transfer and fixation of the distal part of the metacarpal bone of index finger to the distal part of a metacarpal bone of thumb is followed with the excision of excess skin formed after the transposition along a radial surface of an area of the distal part of the metacarpal bone of thumb fitted the shape and size of a skin defect at the head of the third metacarpal bones after the closure of the operative wound. The cut out flap is used as a full-thickness dermal autograft for the wound closure. After grafting, the donor wound is closed tightly without tension.;EFFECT: method enables to cut out a full-thickness free dermal autograft in immediate proximity to the operative wound with simultaneous liquidation of the excess soft tissues formed along the radial surface of a hand after the transposition that additionally improves aesthetic effect of the operation.;1 ex
