The device has a proximal section (5) including a fixing device (5a) for temporary fixing of the proximal section at a proximal fractured body part of a patient. A distal section (2) has an immobilization device (2a) for immobilization of a distal fractured body part. An extension device (4) extends the distal section opposite to the proximal section along a longitudinal axis (L). An alignment device (1) temporarily aligns the distal body part, where the alignment device has two rotary degrees of freedom and/or transverse degrees of freedom that is aligned transverse to the longitudinal axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for extension, reposition and/or retention of extremities with an extension-, reposition and/or retention device.
