The terminal e.g. mobile phone (1) has a keyboard including numeric-, character- and special character keys (3) present in upper region of the terminal for inputting text. A part of the keys is arranged above a display (2) during normal usage of the keyboard for text input. Inputted symbols (9) are visualized on the display, during inputting of the text through the keys. A keyboard module is removably connected with the terminal, where character- and special character heads (10) are aligned in a direction of the part of the keys, which is integrated in the keyboard module. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling a mobile terminal (2) a computer program having instructions to perform a method for controlling a mobile terminal (3) a computer readable storage medium having instructions to perform a method for controlling a mobile terminal.
