Molded brick for producing rectangular light-conducting blocks and plates and light-conducting workpieces, comprises layers made of parallely disposed light-conducting fibers and/or layers made of textiles with the light-conducting fibers
The molded brick (1), which is made of cast matrix, comprises layers (3) made of parallely disposed light-conducting fibers and/or layers made of textiles with parallely disposed light-conducting fibers, so that the fiber layers extend over the height segments and the total height of the molded brick adapted to later use and so that the dimensions of the molded brick are adapted to the later used as rectangular or curved shaped light-conducting blocks and plates in the construction or any shaped workpieces for customer articles, design and art. The molded brick (1), which is made of cast matrix, comprises layers (3) made of parallely disposed light-conducting fibers and/or layers made of textiles with parallely disposed light-conducting fibers, so that the fiber layers extend over the height segments and the total height of the molded brick adapted to later use and so that the dimensions of the molded brick are adapted to the later used as rectangular or curved shaped light-conducting blocks and plates in the construction or any shaped workpieces for customer articles, design and art. The width (5) and/or height (7) of the molded brick are larger or equal to the length (6) of the brick, and is multiple larger than the width and/or height of the blocks, plates and workpieces received from the molded brick. The layers made of light-conducting fibers and/or made of textiles with light-conducting fibers are sandwiched, so that the light-conducting fibers and the textiles of the fiber layers have two directions lying at an angle to each other. The width, height and/or length is integral multiple of the width, height and/or length of the blocks, plates and workpieces received from the molded brick plus the cutting and/or sawing and polishing to considered cutting loss, sawing loss and polishing loss. The light-conducting fibers consist of glass fibers or polymer optical fibers, and transparent light-permeable polymers, which are not polymer optical fibers. The cast matrix is concrete, fine concrete, cement or plaster, where the fine concrete has a grain size of the aggregates of 0.1-6 mm. Independent claims are included for: (1) rectangular light-conducting blocks and plates; (2) a method for producing rectangular light-conducting blocks and plates; (3) a light-conducting workpiece; (4) a post-treatment of a rough sawn or roughly polished visible surface of light-conducting blocks, plates and workpieces; and (5) a protection of light-conducting blocks, plates and workpieces.
