Enzyme catalyzed synthesis comprises: contacting electrically polar crystals with buffer solution and enzymes in a reaction volume; stimulating the electrically polar crystals for removing or forming an adsorption layer placed on the crystals and concomitantly activating or passivating the electrical fields; carrying out enzyme-catalyzed synthesis on electrically polar crystals using the local electric fields; regenerating the cofactors used in the process; and processing the oxidation/reduction, hydrolysis and group transfer reactions and activation of substrates and/or enzymes.
