The device (1) has a traction mechanism (130) i.e. cable, sectionally guided in a Bowden tube (131) for transferring an adjusting force from a drive unit (10) to an adjusting part i.e. window pane (4). An elastic element (20) i.e. mechanical spring, operates between the tube and the drive unit, and supports the tube relative to the drive unit. A hydraulic or pneumatic deceleration element e.g. silicone brake, cooperates with the elastic element such that adjustment of the elastic element is damped during an adjusting process of the device.
