Method for regenerating a solid sorbent (4), that absorbs moisture from air flow, comprises heating the sorbent in an enclosure (1) at above 150[deg] C, partially condensing the water vapor desorbed from the sorbent on the walls of the enclosure, desorbing a greater part of the desorbed water vapor at a vapor pressure near to the room pressure level and condensing by heating at 40-100[deg] C. An independent claim is included for an apparatus for regenerating a solid sorbent, comprising: a sorbent that is arranged between the lamellae of lamellae-tubular heater; an enclosure containing at least one opening, through which the water vapor is escaped, a material for drying, that is provided in the inside of the enclosure, a fan that is arranged in the enclosure, where the fan promotes moist air flow over the sorbent, a further opening through which a condensate is derived from the enclosure, and inner walls that eliminates condensed condensate; and a general body that initiates and limits the heating of sorbent.
