The sensor has a predetermined number of magnetic field sensors arranged radially symmetrical at a current carrying conductor (1) with the same sensitivity, and a set of evaluation devices (5-7). The plane of the sensors is azimuthally rotated at a predetermined angle (alpha 0) at an axis of the current carrying conductor. The rotation takes place opposite a common plane between the current carrying conductor and a p-type conductor (3). The current carrying conductor and the p-type conductor run parallel to each other. The sensor is operated according to a flow meter measuring principle.
