The film-flat plate collector has multiple film layers and whose lower part is formed by a leveling medium (7). A transparent heat insulating film (4) is provided which directly rests on a heat transfer medium (8). An absorber film (3) rests horizontally on a thermal insulation (9) which lies on a floating film (2). The floating film rests directly on the leveling medium. The filling height of the heat transfer medium is changed and the transparent insulating film automatically follows the water level.
