The method for determining cast part quality in a production cycle of a die casting machine by determining pressure elevation in the columns of a clamping unit from cavity pressure operating surface as quality parameter for the die cast parts, is claimed. The pressure elevation in clamping cylinders of the die casting machine is used as measured variable for the determination of the quality-relevant force elevation. The force increase measured by force sensors in the columns of the die casting machine is used as measured variable for the product quality of the die cast parts. The method for determining cast part quality in a production cycle of a die casting machine by determining pressure elevation in the columns of a clamping unit from cavity pressure operating surface as quality parameter for the die cast parts, is claimed. The pressure elevation in clamping cylinders of the die casting machine is used as measured variable for the determination of the quality-relevant force elevation. The force increase measured by force sensors in the columns of the die casting machine is used as measured variable for the product quality of the die cast parts. The clamping force is regulated for improving the measuring signal and optimizing the cycle time.
