The method involves using a mill i.e. material-bed roller mill (1), for producing a plant milling product e.g. flour, from a food product e.g. wheat. Breaking-up and separation steps of the plant milling product follow a grinding step in the mill. Refeeding of inadequate crushed plant milling product takes place by a recycling step in the mill. Fresh material and milled material of the plant milling product are classified and sieved before being fed into a grinding gap. Individual fractions of the plant milling product are cleaned in separate zig-zag sifting steps. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing a plant milling product e.g. flour, semolina, dunst, bran, seed crystal and/or mixture of plant milling products, from wheat, cocoa bean, cocoa nib, shell, shell part, plant and plant waste, comprising a material-bed roller mill.
