The method involves providing a database i.e. tourism-knowledge data base, comprising a document or characterizing information about the document. A request that designates a search word is received. A search is performed in the database about tourism information that corresponds to the search word. The tourism information is transmitted by a computer i.e. microprocessor. The characterizing information has a selectable uniform format, and is provided by listing and categorizing the information contained in the document. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing knowledge within an area of tourism.
