The system has a control center computer for receiving standby parameters of multiple hospitals to provide hospital profiles. A mobile digital radio mechanism is provided in an ambulance to provide a requirement profile. The radio mechanism transmits the requirement profile to the control computer depending on application parameters e.g. patient status data and ambulance position data. The control computer compares the requirement profile with the hospital profiles to provide an ordered target list with suitable target hospitals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a rescue control system (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for operating a rescue control system.
