The method involves guiding a transmission line by an opened low voltage circuit-breaker (10) interrupted under predetermined conditions of the line so that the current flow is determined by the line. A component of the circuit-breaker is cooled with a blower (44), which is actuated with an electrical energy. The electrical energy provides power that flows over the line to be interrupted, and a temperature at the circuit-breaker is measured by a temperature sensor (50). The predetermined condition against the basic operation is modified by the determined temperature value. An independent claim is also included for a circuit-breaker i.e. opened low voltage circuit-breaker, comprising a set of connections.
