The method involves determining motion of patients in the form of translation and rotation from two-dimensional (2D) images in viewable fluoroscopy images (27) during medical intervention of patients. Virtual elongations of the fluoroscopy images are evaluated for searching processes in different fluoroscopy images or frames. A virtual rotation center (Z) is determined by sectioning of the elongations. The fluoroscopy images together with three-dimensional (3D) images are visualized such that the 3D-images and/or the fluoroscopy images of the evaluated shift are corrected accordingly.
