The method involves recording x-ray radiation by computer tomography image data set of an object region with different spectral distributions. Frequency, degradation value or computer tomography (CT) value for different material components are determined based on the image data set by material analysis, where the material components comprise dependency of temperature and location at the object region. Temperature at positions of the object region is determined based on the determined frequency, the degradation or CT value and dependency of temperature and location.
