The ring (1) has a ring body including multiple recesses (3) for friction elements, and forming a cage that guides the friction elements in the recesses. The friction elements are slidably and/or rotatably arranged in the recesses. The friction elements are formed as roller bodies. The ring body is made of plastic or sheet metal using molding technique in a non-cut manner. The roller bodies are formed as balls, cylindrical rollers or tapered rollers. The friction elements are provided at a distance from each other by a bar of the ring body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a synchronization unit comprising a counter cone (2) a method for synchronization of two shafts.
