The element has a casing surface (10) provided for producing a fit with a bearing seat. Circular grooves (14, 16) are provided in the casing surface and possess a rectangular cross section. Plastic rings (18, 20) are provided with a convex curved radial circular surface. The plastic rings are inserted into the circular grooves. The plastic rings are made of epoxy resin foils. The circular surface lies radially within the casing surface, in axial edge areas, in a non-integrated condition of the casing surface. The casing surface radially overlaps in a middle area.
