The package has a changeable square-shaped package volume for retaining a large household appliance i.e. household dishwasher (4), where the package volume is increasable around 3 to 12 percents. The package volume is increasable in a direction of an extension axis of the package. An H-shaped auxiliary part is provided for increasing the package volume. The auxiliary part is formed for adapting to an external contour of the household appliance. The household appliance includes a handle (38). A contact surface lies at a contact area of a package part of the package in an assembling position.
