摘要

The method involves detecting magnetic characteristics at a surface of objects i.e. workpieces (3), by a magnetoelastic sensor (1). Mechanical stresses at the surface of the objects are determined from the detected magnetic characteristics. The magnetoelastic sensor is moved relative to the surface of the objects while maintaining a preset distance. A two-dimensional representation of mechanical surface tensions is provided by the surface of the objects. Temperature compensation is used during determination of the mechanical stresses. An independent claim is also included for a mobile device for detection of mechanical stresses at a surface of workpieces.
