Carbon dioxide separation involves removing water from the exhaust gas (3) before separation of carbon dioxide by using membrane. The membrane is a polymer membrane. Carbon dioxide is separated by using another membrane. An independent claim is also included for a post-combustion power plant, which comprises a conventional steam power plant and a unit for removing carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas of the power plant.
