The system has a buffer storage (20) i.e. supercap, for storing electricity, where a part of the electricity is stored into the buffer storage before the production of hydrogen gas. The buffer storage and a hydrogen production unit (30) are parallel operated. The buffer storage consists of several storage units, where the energy from one of the storage units is transferred to the other storage unit. The storage units have different storage characteristics e.g. time constants, storage capacities or load cycles. An independent claim is also included for a regulation unit for controlling a system for storing energy in a mobile system.
