The seat (2) has a seat part (14), a backrest part (20) and foot rests (26, 28), which are transferred from a non-usage condition into a usage condition, in which foots or legs of a vehicle occupant is supported at the foot rests. The foot rests are designed by supporting bodies (30, 32), whose volume is changeable. The foot rests are transferred by increasing volume in the usage condition and by reduction of volume in the non-usage condition. Two longitudinal recesses are provided in the supporting bodies for holding foot or legs of the occupant, in the usage condition.
