The device comprises a fastening element for fastening the device to the steering wheel of the motor vehicle, and a goniometer for detecting the angle between the horizontal position of the motor vehicle and the head- and eye position of the critic. A distance meter is provided for detecting the relative distance of the steering wheel to the head- and eye position of the critic. An independent claim is also included for a method for evaluation of light and visibility conditions of differently sized persons in a motor vehicle, particularly at the driver workplace.
