The device has a support frame for an upholstery or a mattress. Multiple spring elements (5) are arranged in the form of a matrix over a support surface (2) of the support frame (1). Multiple vibration generators (6) are arranged at a distance to each other and in a distributed manner over the support surface of the support frame. Each vibration generator is fixed at or on the associated spring element, and includes a connecting element that is adapted to a shape of the spring element. Plate springs, spiral springs or leaf springs are used as the spring elements.
