The device (12) has a pressure control valve (13) provided with a pressure relaxation line section (17) for connecting the pressure control valve with a regulating valve (6). The pressure control valve is arranged in a valve block together with a flush valve (14), and a conveyor line connection (15) subjectable to conveying pressure of a hydrostatic piston engine is connected with a tank connection (16) of the valve block by the flush valve. The pressure control valve has a valve piston, which is longitudinally displaceable in a recess. The regulating valve is designed as an electro-proportional regulating valve.
