Modular granulate-dust removal system comprises a raw material storage silo (1), a conveyor unit (4), a separation chamber (7), a counter-current gas generator (13), a filter unit (19) and a product silo (15). The raw material storage silo is connected to the conveyor unit, where the conveyor unit is connected to counter-current gas generator, filter unit and product silo. The separation chamber is formed as vertically arranged double T-shaped standpipe. An independent claim is also included for a method for dust removal and purification of granules, which involves: (A) transporting granules from a raw material storage silo via a conveyor unit, such as screw conveyor in a separation chamber; (B) subjecting separation chamber of falling granules with a gas counter current; and (C) collecting the separated dust or impurities by gas counter-current.
